The Role & What You Will Be Doing
The Technical Transfer Student is responsible for supporting co-ordination of cross-functional Technical Transfer activities across the production pipeline and new product introduction. Providing input for selection of relevant platform or manufacturing processes covering process evaluation (engineering trial) batches through to Process Performance Qualification batches for sterile injectable products. This job will work closely with the site operations and operational support departments (Engineering/Validation/QA/R&D) teams to continuously monitor (assess) effectiveness of manufacturing processes on-site.

- Develop familiarity with site processes & procedures supporting successful Technical Transfer.
- Develop an understanding of Sterile Injectable processing with a focus on cartridge filling.
- Develop protocols and execute same for engineering studies to support technical transfers. Write up of reports from said studies with processing and analytical data to inform relevant stakeholders of suitability for progression of processes to Process Performance Qualification.
- Define/Develop Standard Operating Procedures & batch paperwork for equipment/processes in collaboration with Production personnel that incorporates Operational Excellence principles
- System scoping and walk down as part of project execution to develop knowledge of systems.
- In collaboration with Product Development & Quality Control determine optimum methodology for Analytical Method Transfers.
- Ensure that work is carried out safely and in compliance with the organization’s quality system. Learn how to generate quality documentation in compliance with the internal organisational procedures and GMP.
- Take ownership and ensure all personally assigned duties are carried out and controlled in line with internal organization’s policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
About Your Skills & Experience
For this role, we’re looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills and experiences:
- Student Leaving cert completed and undertaking a degree in a relevant related course.
- Leaving cert level mathematics ability required.
- Must possess good analytical skills, and have an excellent attention for detail.
- Must be able to work as part of a team.
- Good verbal and written communication, with good time management skills and the ability to work to deadlines.
- Engineering/Technical background and computer skills (MS Office).
- Ability to solve practical problems through standardized solutions that require limited judgment. Ability to follow prescribed and detailed procedures to solve routine problems.
