We are seeking an experienced Cost Accountant to join our innovative and forward-thinking team. This key role involves managing and analysing financial data to drive cost efficiency, enhance operational decision-making, and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to benchmark performance and influence decision-making around cost efficiency and operational improvements.
- Lead monthly operational reporting, including variance analysis, and provide insightful presentations to senior leadership.
- Calculating standard costing of products.
- Preparing journal entries in relation to manufacturing accounting.
- Margin variance analysis and investigating significant variances.
- Finance lead on process improvement projects in relation to costing.
- Business partnering with various business functions.
- Budgeting and Forecasting reporting.
- Support the preparation of management accounts.
- Collaborating with audit teams and providing necessary documentation for internal and external audits.
Relevant Experience
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
- 2-3 years experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing firm
- Self-motivated
- Experience in ERP System is desirable
