PROCESS ENGINEER - Dublin- Hybrid

Role Summary:
The successful Process Engineer applicant will be responsible for all aspects of design and development of solutions, across manufacturing processes, equipment, utilities and facility projects supporting the PMO and design team. Ideally the candidate will have 6-7 years process design and operations experience across Pharmaceutical and Biopharmaceutical projects.
Duties:
§ Develop designs, from Feasibility/ Concept design to Detailed Design, including PFDs and P&IDs, process and equipment sizing, material and energy balances for design throughout.
§ Assume ownership of process related aspects of a portion of large projects or an entire small project.
§ Perform engineering studies for expanding, improving or automation existing processes
§ Coordination of design with other design disciplines and equipment suppliers.
§ Prepare Process data sheets and/or sketches for all process equipment items, giving process and dimensional data if appropriate,
§ Process data for Instrument data sheets, selection of instruments, Relief data sheets, line list and piping specifications.
§ Identify electrical requirements for the related electrical loads
§ Coordination of design with other design disciplines and equipment suppliers.
§ Prepare Technical Data Specifications (TDS) based on equipment sizing, codes & standards.
§ Participation in Technical and Safety reviews, HAZOP and FMEA facilitation.
§ Liaising with clients and vendors and consultants.
§ Develop URS, FRS, control philosophy, FDS and other project specifications and process documentation.
§ Supporting head of department and business development team in preparation of technical proposals.
§ Assist in Developing schedules , timelines, resource and spending forecasting and reporting
§ Installation supervision and support during commissioning of the installed items/systems.
§ Change control. QMS systems compliance.
§ Assist with development of internal procedures and templates.
§ Perform calculations to facilitate the selection and specification of process and utilities equipment including:
- Line hydraulics (Sizing), Pump sizing & evaluations.
- Flow Orifice calculations
- Oxygen depletion calculations.
- Safety and emergency relief valve calcs and sizing
§ Travel based on the project location.
§ Special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
§ Bachelor Engineering (B.E. Hons. or higher) in Process/ Chemical Engineering or similar.
§ At least 5+ years demonstrable experience within the life science industry.
§ Experience within the Pharmaceutical, Food and Beverage sector advantageous
§ Knowledge of HAC (Hazardous Area Classification) drawings and ATEX requirements, PED (Pressure Equipment Directive) guidelines.
§ Knowledge of Codes & Standards of Process Equipment.
§ Knowledge of cGMP, HACCP, ISPE, and ISO standards
§ Be proficient in the use of Excel for templates – Project/Process specific.
§ Working knowledge of calculation software such as Pipe-Flo, AFT etc..
§ Proven ability to successfully manage the delivery of projects., acting in a Client facing role.
§ Be energetic and dynamic with excellent people management, interpersonal and communication skills to operate within a project delivery environment.
§ Ability to work on own initiative and leading and executing projects from inception to completion.
