Responsibilities
- Lead the introduction of new products and packaging into commercial manufacturing, making sure every transfer meets the highest standards for quality, timelines, and budget.
- Act as a subject matter expert, guiding cross-functional teams and providing technical leadership on complex projects.
- Develop clear transfer roadmaps and keep both customers and internal stakeholders informed with regular updates and presentations.
- Take on challenging engineering problems, applying innovative thinking and practical solutions.
- Ensure all projects align with stage gate reviews and meet regulatory, quality, and business requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance products, processes, and ways of working.
- Work independently with real ownership of results, while also mentoring and supporting junior engineers.
- Build alignment across teams, influencing decisions and ensuring smooth collaboration in complex situations.
Qualifications
- A third-level qualification in Engineering (Polymer, Biomedical, Mechanical, Design) or a Bachelor’s degree in a Science/Technology/Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Automation, or equivalent).
- 4+ years’ experience in a similar role, ideally within new product introduction or a medical device manufacturing environment.
- Proven project management experience, with a track record of successfully leading NPI projects from concept to commercialisation.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes for catheter-based products, such as extrusion, moulding, balloon forming, braiding, packaging, and assembly techniques.
- A hands-on problem solver with excellent technical, organisational, and communication skills
