This initial 2-year fixed-term contract offers an exciting pathway to a permanent position. Contract Type: 2-Year Fixed Term (with potential for permanent placement)
Reports To: General Manager, APU and Components
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Query Management: You’ll be at the forefront of processing technical queries to the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and parts suppliers and meticulously documenting all activities.
- APU Repair Proposals: Working with the GM, Sales representatives and workshop team, you will formulate proposal for specific APU shop visits which will form an integral part of the APU repair process.
- Quality Assurance Collaboration: Work closely with our Quality Assurance team to report and maintain high standards.
- Capability Development: Contribute to the development of new capabilities within the workshop. An understanding of Lean principles and 5S will be a distinct advantage.
- OEM & Customer Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for the OEM and local customer representatives regarding APU issues.
- Flexibility and Adaptability: Be prepared to take on additional duties assigned by the Company as needed.
- AD and SB Review: Stay informed by reviewing Airworthiness Directives (AD) and Service Bulletins (SB).
- Teamwork: Develop a strong working relationship with the Shop floor manager to coordinate a robust APU shop visit plan which meets with contracted agreements and customer expectations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Possess a minimum Level 7 qualification in Aeronautical Engineering or similar discipline with a general understanding of APU architecture.
- Ability to analyse and interpret technical and airworthiness data.
- Familiarity with relevant airworthiness legislation.
- Work independently, stay self-motivated, and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and clear communication.
- Strong skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Efficiently manage multiple tasks.
- Understand our company’s objectives and contribute to our commercial success.
- Experience working in and leading projects.
- Relevant experience in an aircraft maintenance environment or similar industrial background is desirable.
