Role Overview
The Key Account Manager will be responsible for managing and growing relationships with MMT's existing customers across Ireland and Europe.
This role focuses on developing trusted partnerships, identifying opportunities for account growth, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the customer lifecycle. The successful candidate will work closely with customers, Program Technical Directors, and project teams to support ongoing business and identify future automation opportunities.
The ideal candidate enjoys relationship management, customer engagement, and developing long-term strategic partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary commercial contact for assigned customer accounts.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
- Develop account growth plans and identify opportunities for additional automation projects and services.
- Conduct regular customer reviews and business meetings to understand future requirements.
- Work closely with technical teams to ensure customer expectations are understood and met.
- Support proposal development, quotation activities, and commercial discussions for existing customers.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and proactively address issues or concerns.
- Maintain detailed account plans, opportunity pipelines, and CRM records.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless customer experiences.
- Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities across MMT's service and automation offerings.
- Support customer retention and long-term partnership development.
- Represent MMT during customer visits, project reviews, and industry events.
Key Requirements
- 7+ years' experience in account management, customer relationship management, or technical sales.
- Strong track record of developing and growing customer relationships.
- Experience within automation, engineering services, medical devices, manufacturing, or related industries.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercial awareness and ability to identify growth opportunities within existing accounts.
- Strong organisational and project coordination abilities.
- Ability to understand technical solutions and communicate effectively with engineering and operational teams.
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel regularly to customer sites.
