What We're Looking For
- We’re seeking a Cloud Platform Embedded Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Manager who enjoys working at the intersection of infrastructure, reliability engineering, and enablement. You are motivated by building resilient, scalable systems and helping product teams deliver with confidence. You bring strong technical experience in cloud-native environments and understand how to balance engineering best practices with the practical needs of fast-moving teams.
- Candidate shoudl have strong experience with modern cloud architectures, containers, CI/CD automation, observability practices, and Infrastructure-as-Code. You can troubleshoot complex production issues, improve system performance, and help design platforms that reduce operational overhead. You are comfortable collaborating closely with product engineering teams, partnering with developers, contributing to architectural discussions, and supporting initiatives that improve reliability, scalability, security, and maintainability.
- You value operational excellence and continuous improvement. You take a systems-thinking approach, focus on meaningful outcomes, and create frameworks and guardrails that help teams succeed. You communicate effectively, build strong working relationships, and enjoy developing tools, patterns, and shared services that support engineering teams across the organisation.
- Most importantly, you bring a collaborative mindset. You listen carefully, understand real-world constraints, and help teams adopt practices that improve service reliability while supporting developer productivity.
What You Need to Succeed
- Experience in at least one programming language (such as Python or Go).
- Experience operating cloud-native applications on platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration principles.
- Strong knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
- Hands-on experience with observability systems, including metrics, logging, tracing, and diagnosing distributed systems issues.
- Experience participating in incident response processes and contributing to postmortems and continuous improvement efforts.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively with developers and cross-functional teams.
- Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts and reliability trade-offs to a variety of audiences.
- A systems-thinking mindset and a commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement.
- Curiosity, adaptability, and sound judgment when balancing innovation with practical engineering decisions.
