Responsible for managing project teams and driving project performance, resource planning, staffing, risk management, and communication. The role focuses on achieving On‑Time Delivery and meeting scope, schedule, and budget objectives across multiple strategic projects of high complexity (Types II & I) and high risk.
Main tasks
- Achieve On‑Time Delivery objectives, manage scheduling, and report progress.
- Hold core teams accountable for schedules, deliverables, and overall project performance.
- Oversee budget alignment, capital expenditures, and resource planning.
- Track lessons learned, maintain best practices, and support continuous improvement.
- Lead and participate in Phase Gate Reviews, ensuring compliance with Product Lifecycle tools.
- Maintain accurate project reporting, time tracking, resource planning, and risk management.
- Resolve project conflicts, establish escalation pathways, and support strategic initiatives.
- Facilitate timely resolution of project issues by team members.
- Ensure project closeout meetings, post‑launch reviews, and adherence to process standards.
- Clearly communicate roles, expectations, and accountabilities to all stakeholders.
- Manage programs consisting of multiple projects and collaborate with functional managers to reinforce PMO best practices.
- Coach and mentor junior project managers; contribute to PMO governance; promote a strong, inclusive team climate.
- May supervise and provide administrative oversight to junior project managers.
- Engage in problem‑solving activities and interact directly with customers.
- Represent the organization professionally in all customer interactions.
Your ideal background
- 5+ years of demonstrated Project/Program Management experience in technology or Medical Device Manufacturing, working with internal and external customers.
- Experience managing complex projects (Type II & I) in a global setting, including experience leading others.
- Level 8 degree in a related discipline.
- Experience working within a matrix‑managed project team.
- Formal project management training required; PMP certification preferred.
- Experience with LEANPD, Waterfall, and Agile methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage multiple projects/programs and meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
- Experience in new product introduction required.
- Knowledge of FDA regulations preferred.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to communicate effectively with senior management and customers.
- Ability to lead local and global teams.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects/programs while ensuring compliance with scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
- Experience with Product/Project Lifecycle implementation, risk and change management, and manufacturing principles.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Project, collaboration tools, and database systems.
- Results‑oriented mindset; strong problem‑solving, decision‑making, negotiation, change management, and influencing skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% annually.
